·         Identify the key aspects of an effective EAP essay: complexity and precision; formality; and responsibility

·         Analyze examples of writing based on the criteria established at the start of the module: complexity and precision; formality; and responsibility

·         Diagnose ineffective EAP sentences and suggest specific improvements for revision

·         Define plagiarism as taking credit for someone else's work, either intentionally or unintentionally

·         Identify examples of plagiarism and suggest summary, paraphrase, and quotation as means of citing sources properly

·         Learn techniques to avoid plagiarism and, furthermore, protect yourself against academic dishonesty
